The currency of Vienna (and all of Austria) is the Euro (sign: €; code: EUR). Austria is a member of the European Union and part of the Eurozone, so it uses the common European currency.
The plural form of the currency is “euros.”

All power sockets in Vienna provide a standard voltage of 230V with a standard frequency of 50Hz. You can use your equipment in Vienna if the outlet voltage in your country is between 220V–240V. This applies to most of Europe, Australia, the United Kingdom, and many countries in Africa and Asia.

Travelers are generally allowed to bring personal medication for their stay, but controlled substances (such as those containing certain stimulants or narcotics) may require a doctor’s prescription and documentation. It’s recommended to carry only a reasonable personal supply.
